Easy to install. To simplify installation and setup, Dostek DNC includes several time-saving features, including sample configurations and parameter settings for most CNC models, a First-Time Setup Wizard to guide you through installation and setup, an online tutorial, detailed help files, a communication test program, and of course toll-free expert telephone technical support.Easy to use. Dostek DNC looks and feels like a standard Windows application, so even inexperienced operators can work effectively within minutes.
High-speed load, store and drip feed. Dostek DNC supports all load, save and drip feed operations. You can select multiple files and load them to the CNC in one operation. You can save files individually or store a main program with all of it's subprograms in a single file. Files of any size can be drip fed with the ability to stop, start or restart at any point in the file. And Dostek DNC supports all standard baud rates.
Convenient remote callup. Dostek DNC MultiPort Edition lets machine tool operators load, save and drip-feed programs directly from a remote computer using their CNC operator panel. (How it works.) If you are currently using a shared shop-floor or laptop computer, MultiPort Edition saves setup time because operators don't need to leave their station find or use the shared computer. If you are currently using a separate shop-floor computer at each machine tool, MultiPort Edition saves operating and maintenance costs by completely eliminating the shop-floor computers.
Expert technical support. Dostek provides 90 days of unlimited free telephone technical support with your purchase. Thereafter, technical support is free for registered customers by email, and expert toll-free telelphone and remote support available when needed at a reasonable cost.
Works with wired and wireless serial ports. Dostek DNC works with standard PC COM ports, multi-port serial cards, serial hubs (Ethernet or USB) and 802.11b wireless adapters. In fact, Dostek DNC works with any serial communication product with a standard Windows COM port driver. Proprietary hubs or special modules are not required.
Works with all versions of Windows. The new 2010 release of the Dostek DNC software works with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. And a 'legacy' version of Dostek DNC is included on the disk for use on older computers dating back as far as Windows 95.
Works with older equipment. You can use Dostek DNC with your older equipment such as tape readers, tape punches, or machine tools that use a Behind-the-Tape Reader (BTR) for communication.
Adapts to your preferences. Dozens of configuration options let you easily tailor Dostek DNC to suit your needs. For example, you can specify file types and locations, fonts, display and security options. The file manager provides user-customizable "QuickButtons" and menu items so you can set up shortcuts to Dostek DNC features as well as to other applications. No hardware lock or copy protection. Dostek DNC does not use copy protection or a hardware lock (key), so you'll never lose production because of a hardware failure, glitch or a lost key.
