Easy to install. To simplify installation and setup, Dostek DNC includes several time-saving features, including sample configurations and parameter settings for most popular CNCs, a First-Time Setup Wizard to guide you through installation and setup, online tutorial, detailed help files, a communication test program, and toll-free telephone technical support.Easy to use. Remote Call-Up. Dostek DNC MultiPort Edition saves setup time by letting CNC operators load, save and drip-feed programs without leaving their CNC workcenter.
Works with standard serial ports. Dostek DNC works with standard PCs, multi-port serial cards, serial hubs (Ethernet or USB) and 802.11b wireless adapters. In fact, Dostek DNC works with any communication device with a standard Windows COM port driver. There's absolutely no need to use proprietary hubs or special modules.
Adapts to your preferences. Dozens of configuration options let you easily tailor Dostek DNC to suit your needs. For example, you can specify file types and locations, fonts, display and security options. The file manager provides user-customizable "QuickButtons" and menu items so you can set up shortcuts to Dostek DNC features as well as to other applications. High-speed load, store and drip feed. Dostek DNC supports all load, save and drip feed operations. You can select multiple files and load them to the CNC in one operation. You can save files individually or store a main program with all of it's subprograms in a single file. Files of any size can be drip fed with the ability to stop, start or restart at any point in the file. And Dostek DNC supports all standard baud rates.
Expert technical support. Dostek provides 90 days of unlimited free telephone technical support with your purchase. Thereafter, telelphone support and software updates are available by annual subscription. And expert technical support is always free for all customers by email or fax.
No hardware lock or copy protection. Dostek DNC does not use copy protection or a hardware lock (key), so you'll never lose production because of a hardware failure, glitch or a lost key.

Dostek DNC is available in a choice of three main software "editions": Lite, Professional and MultiPort. For a summary of the differences between each edition, see the feature comparison chart at the bottom of this page.Professional Edition includes an explorer-style file manager, a program editor with side-by-side file comparison and a DNC communication application. To load or save a file, the CNC operator executes a send or receive command on the computer followed by a read (input) or punch (output) command on the CNC. Any number of CNCs can be connected to one central computer, or a separate computer can be installed at each CNC or at each work cell. Each computer can load or drip feed 4 or more CNCs at a time. Professional Edition is ideal for applications where CNC operators need to monitor drip-feeding of large files, need access to editing, file management and document viewing, or need to also use other applications like CAD/CAM or email.
MultiPort Edition includes all features of the Professional Edition, plus a MultiPort DNC Server application with a "remote call-up" feature that allows CNC operators to upload, download and drip feed directly from their CNC. With MultiPort Edition, there is no need for CNC operators to leave their station to load or save files. Instead, operators send instructions directly to the computer by sending (punching) small "command" files. MultiPort Edition eliminates shop-floor computers and reduces setup time.
Lite Edition is a low cost package that's a great choice for basic CNC communication and file management applications. Lite Edition uses exactly the same top quality software components as Professional Edition, but with some of the more advanced features disabled. For example, there is no file comparison, advanced searching or event logging, and you can only drip feed to one CNC at a time.
BTR Edition is included free with the Dostek Model 440 Behind-the-Tape Reader (BTR). BTR Edition is identical to Lite Edition, but supports only the 440 BTR communication protocol.
