How to Download

To download and install Dostek software:

Close all open windows on your computer except for the browser window displaying the download links.

Click Download. Your browser's "File Download" dialog box opens.

Download

Click Save. Your browser's "File Save" dialog box opens. Select a folder in which to save the download file, and then click Save. The download begins, and may take up to several minutes to complete.

Tips:

  • Save the download file to a folder where you can easily find it later. For example, choose your "Desktop" or "Documents" folder.
  • Although your browser may also give you the option to run the file, we recommend you save the file. You may need it again later.

The next step depends on whether you wish to install the software on the current computer or a different computer.

Current Computer

To install the software on the current computer, open the downloaded file.

Tip:

  • If your browser displays a "Download complete" dialog box with a "Run" button, click Run to open the downloaded file.

Different Computer

To install the software on a different computer:

  1. Copy the downloaded file to a CD, a USB flash drive, or a shared network folder.
  2. On the other computer, insert the CD or flash drive, or open the shared network folder, and then open the downloaded file.

The Dostek software Setup window opens.

Setup

Note:

  • If a message announces "The publisher could not be verified" or "...not a valid signature", this merely indicates that Dostek does not participate in Microsoft's testing programs. Continue with installation; Dostek software is perfectly safe to install.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete software installation.

If you are downloading the Dostek DNC software or the free trial, Setup automatically opens the Dostek DNC First-time Setup Wizard, which guides you through initial set-up of the software.

Save the downloaded file in two or more safe locations where you can find it if you need to reinstall it later. For example, burn it to a CD and store it on your corporate file server.
