MANAGING FILES

With Dostek DNC's File Manager, you can:

Restrict operator access to specific folders and file types.
Protect original program files from modification.
Require a password to modify files or change configurations.
Search files by name, date, size or file content.
Associate set-up sheets, CAD drawings and other documents with part program files.
Use a touch screen or bar-code reader.
Customize File Manager screen layout, display options, font, file filters, and command buttons.

Finding Files and Text

With Dostek DNC File Manager, you can search for files by name, size, date modified, and by file content.

You can use the searching features to:

Find files by name, using wild cards (A473*).
Find files modified within a certain time period.
Find files in a certain size range.
Search sub folders.
Search for specific text within files, and optionally list each instance of the text in the search results.
Print a report of search results.

Note:

Advanced searching is not available in Dostek DNC Lite Edition.

Using a Touch Screen or Bar-code Reader

Dostek DNC supports alternate input devices, including bar-code readers and touch-screen displays. When touch screen support is enabled, an on-screen keyboard is available for input.
